VOSA prosecutions

I acted for a client accused of an offence concerning a Goods Vehicle Operator’s License. The Prosecution was brought by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA).

The implications of this were very serious. Operator’s License offences can be dealt with very severely by the Courts. The maximum sentence for this offence was 2 years imprisonment and an unlimited fine. Furthermore, a conviction for an offence of this kind would be treated very seriously by The Traffic Commissioner.

Our client’s defence was thoroughly prepared and the matter proceeded to a 2-day trial before a jury.

Our client was found not guilty after trial.
