Sonia Shah

Biography 

Sonia is a graduate paralegal in the commercial and dispute resolution department. She is supervised by Julie Hunter and Jade Fairhurst. Having completed her degree at Lancaster University, Sonia graduated with an upper second class honours in July 2025.

Sonia's specialisms include assisting with:

• bespoke contractual debt recovery
• cross-border debt recovery
• bankruptcy proceedings
• litigation proceedings
• and enforcement proceedings.

Sonia's professional experience includes three years volunteering at Citizens Advice as an adviceline adviser and working as a legal adviser at Lancaster University. Sonia has achieved pre-litigation settlement in three bespoke cross-border contractual debt recovery cases following letter of responses. Sonia demonstrates strong legal research skills, attention to detail and clear communication with clients.

In her spare time Sonia volunteers at the Harris Library & Museum Art Gallery, has an interest in arts, and enjoys painting.
