The case management firm and intermediary for people living with catastrophic brain injuries, Active Case Management, has made a donation to the Wigan-based charity, The Brick, following a helping hand from the national law firm, Stephensons.
Stephensons donated surplus office equipment and furniture to Active Case Management following their recent expansion at the Wigan Investment Centre. Rather than dispose of the desks and cabinets, Stephensons gave the furniture to Active Case Management to help make their expansion as simple as possible.
In response, Active Case Management has decided to pay forward the gesture by donating funds to The Brick, a charity operating across Wigan and Leigh providing support services to people facing homelessness, poverty and hardship.
The charity was selected by both firms in response to its #RebuildingLives campaign which aims to raise £75,000 to support those most in need, as well as it’s ‘The Brick Re-use’ initiative aiming to educate people in Wigan Borough about recycling.

“In our everyday work we strive to rebuild the lives of people who have sustained catastrophic injuries. We also recognise our corporate responsibility to support local communities and minimise our impact on the environment. The donation of office furniture from Stephensons was very welcome in that it enabled us to quickly grow into our new premises, maintain continuity of service to our clients and uphold our aim to minimise waste. We are delighted to pass on our good fortune in this donation to The Brick’s #RebuildingLives campaign.”
