The national law firm, Stephensons has raised more than £7,200 for New Start - The Wythenshawe Transplant Fund, helping to support transplant patients on their recovery journey.
Through a series of fundraising activities, including bake sales, sponsored walks and other team initiatives, colleagues across the firm came together to raise an incredible £7,259 for the charity.
The donation has already made a meaningful impact, enabling the charity to purchase a bed bike, a specialist piece of equipment designed to support patients' rehabilitation, fitness and wellbeing following transplant surgery.
The fundraising effort holds particular significance for the firm through Stephensons’ Paralegal, Martyn Jackson, whose own heart transplant journey has inspired many of those involved. Martyn has now been appointed as a trustee of New Start - The Wythenshawe Transplant Fund, where he will help shape the charity's future work and ensure the patient perspective remains at the heart of its decision-making.
