Gas explosion in Stretford could have been more serious

  • Posted
In the week leading up to Christmas, a gas explosion in Stretford led to many local residents being evacuated from their homes. Although there were no reported injuries, the incident brought home the need for an adequate level of safety for tenants, and of the responsibilities of landlords.

When things go badly wrong, as they did in Stretford, the resultant explosion could have caused serious injury and perhaps even fatalities.

Coping with a serious injury is never easy, and in many cases it can take months or even years to make a recovery. As well being a strain on the body, it’s also a strain on the finances, so an appropriate monetary award is a must. In cases that have led to deaths, the pressure on loved ones to cope with the sudden loss of earnings can be enormous.
