The credit hire team at Stephensons

Disputed credit hire claims

As we enter into December and head towards the end of year, you cannot help but reflect on the year that has just passed us by in what feels like no time at all.

The pandemic has affected many businesses and our way of life, that goes without saying really, and the world has all faced a challenge.

Stephensons has been no different. We have had to adapt and modernise. Revise our strategies and the way we think. Change.

Thankfully, us in the credit hire team were working on a paperless system before the pandemic hit and that made what was to come that little bit easier.

Working from home, or agile-working, has proven to be but one of many steps we have had to take to ensure the business can continue to operate.

As with any business, teams change and the face of what we set out to do has to adapt and become something different in the face of adversity.

In the credit hire team, we have had to do just that.

Most recently, we have said goodbye to Barry Sutton who I have worked with for the past 10 years. The credit hire team certainly would not be where it is today without Barry’s hard work and dedication throughout the years.

In taking over as head of credit hire, I have had to consider just how we take what we currently have and how we can improve upon that.  As I said above, we have to adapt and change to meet the challenge and uncertainty facing us and many other businesses.

One of the first steps was to recruit a new claims handler to our team and I welcome Subiha Khezar to her new role, where she can focus on small claims matters.

Katie Plappert, associate litigation executive continues to work in the credit hire team specialising in combined credit hire and personal injury claims.

Joanne Topping, personal assistant joins the team also to work on administrative duties.

I will continue to deal with high value and complex credit hire claims.  So, with a more focussed approach and new social media campaign, the future is looking bright at Stephensons and for the credit hire team. If you need any legal advice within the credit hire sector, you can reach us on 0161 696 6235.
