Probate prices in the South East - how do they compare?

Years ago when family were having to deal with the sad task of getting probate and administering the estate of a loved one who had passed away, they would often use a local solicitor.

That is no longer necessary and may not be the best thing to do for people based in high cost areas like the South East.

Whether there is a Will or not, it is easy for us to help you with Probate even if we are not near where you live.

We can speak to you by telephone, online video conferencing or e mail and do everything that needs to be done to get the grant of Probate and administer the estate. Our friendly solicitors and advisors will talk you through every step of the way but there is no need for you to come into our offices. It can all be done from the convenience of your own home, just as effectively as if you were seeing a local solicitor in person.

Applications to the Probate Registry are now done on line and all banks, building societies, insurers and the like will deal at a distance so there is no need for you, or us, to physically attend at any branches.

This means that if you need help with a probate matter you can come to us, get a personal service, but pay considerably less than you are likely to pay in the South East.

The Legal Services Board has published research (September 2020) which found  that legal advice in the North of England, where we are based, is generally 20% cheaper than the rest of the country.

So if you are based in the South East there is likely to be a very significant cost saving in coming to us. Our prices for probate matters are published on our website and we aim to give you certainty at the outset.

If you would like to discuss how we can help you and compare our prices with what it may cost you to deal with Probate using a South East solicitor please contact us on 0161 696 6238.
