Woman dies after fall at Liverpool store

  • Posted

A 57-year-old woman has sadly died following a fall of about 24 metres from the third floor of the Primark store in Liverpool.

It is not fully understood how she came to be found at the bottom of the escalators on the ground floor, earlier this week, but Police have confirmed that she had been seen moments before at a balcony next to the third-floor escalators. Police have said the death was not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.

A three-year-old girl fell through a gap between the escalators to the lower ground floor while travelling up to the third floor with her family five years ago at the same store. Fortunately the little girl survived suffering from a broken leg and arm and internal injuries.
