I read an online article today about how a Conservative MP has broken his foot after falling off a table while dancing in Soho.
Immigration Minister Mark Harper had his foot placed in a cast after the accident at the central London bar.
Mr Harper said in a statement: "My wife Margaret was with me but thankfully she's a far better dancer so didn't fall off."
Councillor Len Lawton told local paper This Is Gloucester: "We found it hilarious and gave him plenty of stick. The imagination runs wild when you hear it was when he was dancing on a table at a bar in Soho.
"He said it happened at his wife's leaving do and he alighted from the table very inelegantly.”
I sympathize with Mr Harper for this unfortunate injury, however, this situation is all too common and as a result Mr Harper joins approximately one third of people who suffer injury on a night out as referred to in my blog in May 2012.
