Implacable hostility       

The hostility shown by one parent to another in denying contact to a child which is irrational and cannot be justified.

Injunction         

A court order which either forbids or requires a party to do something.

Inter partes hearing      

A court hearing ‘between the parties’. Interested parties will have been given adequate notice of the hearing and given a reasonable opportunity to attend and be heard.

Interim order     

A court order made during proceedings which is not a final order.

Issue / Issuing  

The initiation of legal proceedings. A formal application is lodged at the court with the relevant fee. The court stamps (seals) the document and the application can then be served on the respondent.
