Terri graduated with a upper second class Bachelor of Laws from the University of Teesside via Bradford University College and is now studying her Masters in Legal Practice on a part time basis at BPP Law School.
Having completed her undergraduate degree part time whilst working full time, Terri has worked in the legal sector for nearly three years in employment litigation and pre-litigation insurance. Prior to her previous role, Terri interned at legal technology company in Hong Kong as a legal researcher covering four different jurisdictions.
Terri has managed a variety of employment litigation cases for both claimants and respondents in claims/defences ranging from discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistle blowing. Terri is supervised by Philip Richardson.
Areas of specialism
- Providing advice to prospective new clients on their potential claims and funding methods available that suit them. This involves dealing with employees and employers who require legal assistance.
- Advising and assisting employees on their employment rights and establishing what employment claims they may be able to pursue.
- Providing guidance to employers in relation to defending potential claims being brought against them by employees; and
- Assisting the solicitors in the department through the various stages of bringing claims to the employment tribunal, such as unfair dismissal claims, whistle blowing claims and claims for discrimination within employment.
In her free time Terri enjoys spending time with her partner and her dog, exploring new places and taking long walks as often as possible.
