Biography
Shay is a trainee solicitor in the employment law team at Stephensons.
Shay graduated from the University of Salford in 2021 with first class honours in LLB Corporate Law with a professional placement, which involved a year of experience in the industry. He started working at Stephensons in November 2021 on a part time basis whilst completing his LPC/LLM at University of Law. He started working full time in August 2022 after completing his LPC/LLM, graduating with a distinction.
Shay's work consists of dealing with new enquiries, conducting and assisting with settlement negotiations, dealing with employment tribunal directions and orders and providing employment law advice to both claimants and respondents on matters ranging from unfair dismissal to various different potential claims of discrimination. He works on cases alongside the solicitors in the team as well as handling his own case load under supervision.
Shay assists all the solicitors in the team, but he is supervised primarily by Stephen Woodhouse.
