Nicola Horrocks
Biography
Nicola is a solicitor in the family department.
Nicola began her career at Stephensons in December 2020 as a paralegal within the family department. Before joining Stephensons, Nicola graduated from the University of Manchester with an upper second class LLB law degree. Nicola then went on to complete her legal practice course at the University of Law along with a masters degree.
Nicola commenced her training contract in October 2022 and qualified as a solicitor in September 2024.
Nicola undertakes various aspects of family law. Nicola has particular experience dealing with child care work. In particular, where the local authority have become involved with a family, whether at pre-proceedings stage or court proceedings. Nicola has been involved in a wide range of cases involving drug and alcohol issues, mental health issues, domestic abuse issues, issues of neglect, parental alienation and fabricated or induced illness.
Nicola also has experience representing parents in private children proceedings involving child arrangements.
Outside work, Nicola enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading and travelling to new places.
