Biography
Maria assists the solicitors in the team with complex and sensitive Court of Protection and community care cases, including:
- Being the first point of contact for new clients
- Drafting funding applications and dealing with all aspects of legal aid funding
- Drafting Court of Protection documents
- Assisting the solicitors in the team with all aspects of health and welfare cases in the Court of Protection.
Maria has experience assisting solicitors in the team on a wide range of issues concerning the capacity and best interests of vulnerable adults, including applications pursuant to s21A and s16 Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Maria graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in July 2024 with an upper second class (2:1) honours degree in Law.
In her free time, she enjoys travelling, going on walks and going to the cinema.
