Katie is a trainee solicitor and is currently currently completing a seat in our Wills and probate team. She is currently supervised by Jill Rushton.
Katie returned to Stephensons in December 2018 to complete the remaining 18 months of her training contract. Katie departed from Stephensons earlier in the year after securing a training contract with an established Lancashire based firm where she completed six months of her training in her area of expertise, private client.
Katie graduated with a law degree from Lancaster University in 2014 and graduated from the legal practice course at the University of Central Lancashire in June 2015. She then started her legal career in Stephensons' client service centre as part of the triage team. Shortly after this she became a new business advisor in the Wills and probate team where she was later offered a paralegal role where she developed her skills and became a fee earner running her own case load.
Katie specialises in Wills and probate where she has vast experience in numerous areas such as Will drafting, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection, administration of estates, working with trusts and property protection.

"Stephensons were absolutely fantastic in guiding me through the process of applying for Court of Protection for my Mother aged 92. Sadly she has succumbed to the passage of time. Therefore decisions in her best interest need to be made. Katie Mayren was professional and sympathetic to my needs. I have no hesitation in recommending Katie and Stephensons Thank You." - View from a satisfied client
