Stephensons promotes seven to senior associate

The national law firm, Stephensons has promoted seven colleagues to senior associate.

Senior associateship recognises an individual's sustained and outstanding contribution to the firm, and this year, seven colleagues from Marketing, IT, Court of Protection, commercial litigation and Probate have all been recognised. 

Michael Portz, Marketing
Michael has been a key member of Stephensons’ marketing team since 2017 and currently serves as the firm’s PR Manager. Michael oversees all external PR, spanning media relations, planned campaigns, award submissions and the firm’s Legal 500 and Chambers entries. Michael also sits on the firm’s CSR and Brand Values Committees.

Victoria Sharrock, IT
Victoria has been an employee of Stephensons since August 2013. During that time, she has gained a wide range of experience in various departments. For the past 8-9 years, Victoria has been working in Stephensons’ IT department where she is the Test and Business Analyst Lead.  

Amy Dutton, Court of Protection
Amy is a solicitor in the Court of Protection team and joined the firm in May 2014, progressing from voluntary student to graduate paralegal and solicitor. Amy has worked across several departments including retraining into Court of Protection during the Covid pandemic in 2020. Amy has a particular interest and experience in representing vulnerable children and adults with physical disabilities and mental health conditions. 

Megan Taylor, Court of Protection
Megan is a solicitor who joined the firm in June 2018 as a graduate paralegal. Megan is experienced in dealing with complex health and welfare matters in the Court of Protection and community care matters in the context of judicial review. She is Law Society accredited in mental capacity, a Legal Aid Supervisor and a member of the Northwest Court of Protection Practitioners Association Committee.

Jordan Davies, Inheritance Disputes
Jordan is a solicitor within the commercial/dispute resolution department. She joined Stephensons in September 2021 and is the team’s most experienced inheritance dispute solicitor. Jordan acts for clients in Inheritance Act claims, Will disputes, trust disputes and many other areas of contentious Probate. 

Jade Fairhurst, Commercial Litigation
Jade is commercial litigation solicitor who joined Stephensons in June 2022. She specialises in breach of contract and shareholder disputes. Jade acts for national and international companies and individuals either bringing or defending claims.

Charlotte Huxley, Probate
Charlotte is a solicitor in the Probate department who joined the firm in April 2022. Charlotte specialises in Wills, Probate, lasting powers of attorney and Court of Protection cases and often deals with very complex Probate matters.
