Stephensons announces four new partners

The national law firm, Stephensons has announced the promotion of four colleagues to partnership, recognising their exceptional contribution to the firm and their continued commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

The new partners are Lee Catterall, Rebecca Topping, Stephen Woodhouse and Rachelle Nuttall, each of whom has demonstrated sustained excellence and a strong alignment with the firm’s values.

Lee Catterall has led Stephensons’ finance team for more than five years, supporting teams across the firm and the equity partners with financial planning, budgeting and cashflow forecasting. Lee is widely respected for his integrity, professionalism and strategic insight, playing a key role in the firm’s financial stability and future growth.

Rebecca Topping, Partner in the discrimination team, began her legal career at Stephensons as a graduate paralegal in the personal injury department. After a short period away, she returned to the firm part way through her training contract in November 2017 and qualified into the discrimination team in March 2018. Rebecca manages a varied and complex caseload.

Stephen Woodhouse, Partner in employment, has over 11 years’ service with Stephensons, having joined the firm initially as a paralegal and trainee. Stephen is highly regarded for both his client work and his wider contribution to the firm. He plays an active role in practice development, has delivered training across the business, is a member of the firm’s Brand Values Committee and acts as the IT champion for the employment team.

Rachelle Nuttall, Partner in Probate, has been with Stephensons for 14 years. She qualified into the Probate department and was appointed manager of the team in April 2023. Rachelle has taken departmental leadership in her stride and has clear ambitions to grow the team, with a strong focus on training, business development and operational improvement. She has also served as a Director of Stephensons Trust Corporation for several years.
