Barry Sutton, a claims handler in the personal injury team, settled a case for a client who was injured after tripping over a raised paving flag.
The incident occurred when the client was walking towards a train station. As she approached the steps at the front of the station, she tripped over a raised paving flag on the pavement, falling forwards onto the steps hitting her right hand and knee.
Following immediate medical attention, she was referred to hospital where she was found to have suffered a broken hand and a sprained ankle. The client also endured soft tissue injuries to her ankle, knee, wrist and hand as well as some psychological injury. The case was settled for £5,980.
