Stephensons maintains highest possible ranking in the Chambers & Partners guide for 2026

Stephensons secures highest possible ranking in the Chambers & Partners guide for 2025

Stephensons has once again achieved a ‘Band 1’ ranking in the latest edition of the prestigious Chambers & Partners legal guide.

The firm’s crime team has retained its ‘Band 1’ ranking in the 2026 guide, the highest ranking possible, while the family team continues to be recognised with a ‘Band 3’ ranking for its work in both Matrimonial and Children Law.

Chambers & Partners is a leading independent legal research company, providing annual rankings and insights into the world’s top lawyers and law firms. Rankings are awarded in bands from one to six, with Band 1 representing the highest level of excellence. Being ranked in any band is a significant achievement and a testament to the quality of legal services provided.

Five Stephensons partners have also been individually recognised in the 2026 guide:

  • Correna Platt, Partner in the crime department, continues to hold a ‘Band 1’ ranking.

  • Victoria Gethin, Partner and head of family law, achieved ‘Band 3’ rankings for both Matrimonial and Children Law.

  • Jackie Price, family law Partner, is again ranked ‘Band 4’ for Matrimonial and ‘Band 3’ for Children Law.

  • Rachel Benett, family Partner, remains listed as ‘Up and Coming’ in both Matrimonial and Children Law.

  • Carl Johnson, Partner in the regulatory team, maintains his ‘Band 5’ ranking for representing regulated professionals.

Sean Joyce, Managing Partner at Stephensons, said:

"We’re incredibly proud to see our teams once again recognised in the Chambers & Partners guide. These rankings reflect the dedication, expertise and hard work of colleagues across the firm. To retain a Band 1 ranking in crime and continue to be recognised in Matrimonial and Children Law is a testament to the consistent quality of service we provide to our clients. I’m also delighted to see individual partners acknowledged for their outstanding contributions. These accolades reinforce our commitment to delivering exceptional legal support and achieving the best possible outcomes for those we represent."

This continued recognition in the Chambers & Partners guide follows further success for Stephensons in the Legal 500 rankings, where five practice areas and numerous solicitors were featured.
