Pedestrian hit by car- £20,000 settlement
Our personal injury claims handler, Samantha Ord, recently settled a case for a pedestrian who was hit by a car.
The client was standing outside a shop reading the headlines of a newspaper stand, when he was hit by a reversing car. The client was knocked five yards, causing him to fall to the ground. During the fall he suffered cuts to his hands and face and injuries to his left shoulder and left knee.
When the injuries continued to cause the client pain, he sought medical advice where he was referred for an x-ray.The scan showed that the client had underlying osteo-arthritis that had been aggravated by the accident. The client has to undergo a series of rehabilitation sessions. The case was eventually settled for £20,000.
