During my work experience at Stephensons, I spent two days with the marketing department, gaining valuable insight into the field and its daily operations. From the start, Sarah and the team were welcoming and made me feel like a valued member.
After a tour of the building and an introduction to the company’s core values, I began developing key marketing skills. Max gave me a detailed overview of the Adobe tools used in their projects, which helped me understand the creative side of the role. I was also introduced to Boost, an internal app used to share praise and updates, which highlighted the strong sense of community within the firm where I was able to post a blog.
Joining Zoom meetings gave me a real sense of responsibility and boosted my confidence. The advice I received helped me appreciate how varied and dynamic a career in marketing can be. A team meal added to this experience, as I heard different career journeys from the team, showing that there are many paths into the industry.
Throughout my work experience I supported the team after a meeting and shared my findings with Sarah. This hands-on experience helped me build my knowledge and feel truly involved.
Overall, my time at Stephensons was incredibly rewarding. It gave me a clearer understanding of marketing and confirmed my interest in pursuing it further in my future studies.
