Ruth is a case manager in the actions against public bodies team. She has worked at Stephensons 23 years and previously represented clients at police station interviews as an accredited representative within the criminal litigation department.
In 2015 Ruth transferred to the civil liberties department and brought her experience of representing clients at the police station, criminal litigation and knowledge of police procedures to the police actions team.
Since this time she has been involved in a number of cases in which compensation was successfully obtained against the police and other public authorities and claims for breach of data protection on behalf of individuals against both state bodies and private companies.
Ruth‘s clients consider that she is very down to earth and able to explain what can be very technical legal issues in a straightforward way. Ruth has experience of dealing with difficult cases and has been able to help clients through the process of making a claim in difficult circumstances was providing support and reassurance.
