Pupils from Leigh C of E Junior School (pictured) were awarded prizes after taking part in a road safety competition.
The school children were tasked with coming up with a road safety poster targeted at someone younger than them, or at an adult, to drive home the message of road safety as part of National Road Safety Week 2011.
Stephensons Solicitors LLP ran a series of interactive classes with almost 100 of the pupils in order to remind them how to cross the road safely, and be aware of other road users.
The winners were presented with their prizes by Rebecca Shippam, from the Road Traffic Accident team at Stephensons, who is also a volunteer for road safety charity, BRAKE.
Rebecca said: “The standard of the posters was extremely high and we were really pleased that so many children took part. The winners from each class clearly understood the message of road safety and we hope they will enjoy their Build and Bear and Toys’R’Us vouchers.”
