National law firm Stephensons has once again been awarded the prestigious Lexcel accreditation by the Law Society of England and Wales, marking its fourteenth consecutive year of recognition. The accreditation follows a detailed assessment carried out by the Centre for Assessment.
The Lexcel standard is widely recognised as a benchmark of excellence in legal practice management and client care. This latest reaccreditation highlights Stephensons’ continued commitment to maintaining the highest levels of service, regulatory compliance, and professional development.
The assessment, which took place over three days in June 2026, included comprehensive interviews, detailed file and document reviews, and an evaluation of firm-wide practices across both the Wigan and Manchester offices. The assessor commended the firm’s strong leadership, inclusive culture, and focus on continuous improvement.
The assessor highlighted Stephensons’ strong leadership and transparency across the firm, noting that “leaders at all levels receive management training… and senior management lead by example, are open and approachable” - Lexcel Assessor, 2026
Sean Joyce, Managing Partner at Stephensons, commented:
“We are proud to have retained our Lexcel accreditation for another year. This achievement reflects the dedication, expertise and collaborative approach of our people across the firm. We will continue to build on this success by delivering high-quality legal services and putting our clients at the heart of everything we do.”
