Stephensons bolsters its Court of Protection team with two key appointments

The national law firm, Stephensons, has announced the expansion of its Court of Protection team with the appointment of two experienced solicitors, Jamie Gordon and Megan Shaw.

Jamie Gordon makes a welcome return to Stephensons, having originally trained and qualified at the firm before gaining further experience at Simpson Millar and Hill Dickinson Solicitors. Megan Shaw joins the firm from Southerns Solicitors in Burnley (previously having trained and worked at O’Donnells Solicitors). Both bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience in health and welfare proceedings within the Court of Protection.

Over the last five years, Stephensons’ health and welfare Court of Protection team has grown from just one specialist solicitor to having 11 experts servicing work from a number of sources including Independent Advocates and the Official Solicitor.

These two recent appointments highlight Stephensons' continued commitment to providing expert legal support in this specialist area and reflect the firm’s growing reputation in complex health and welfare matters.

Sophie Maloney, Partner and Head of Court of Protection at Stephensons said:

“I am very pleased to welcome Jamie and Megan to the team. Their expertise will be a real asset to our clients and the service we provide. As demand for our services continues to increase, their appointments further strengthen our ability to provide the highest quality advice and representation.”
