Tragically, earlier this month, Claire Fletcher, a personal assistant in the Stephensons’ family department, lost her brave battle with cancer. Claire was 43 and is survived by her two children, Kim and Jamie and partner, Gary.
Claire was a much-loved member of the Stephensons family, having joined the firm over 25 years ago. Starting her career with us as an office junior, straight out of college, Claire spent time working in various departments within the firm before becoming a personal assistant to Amanda Rimmer, something her family described as her dream job.
Remembering Claire, Amanda Rimmer said: “Claire was a dedicated and hardworking colleague and friend. Nothing ever seemed to faze her. She was a constant source of support for everyone in the team and would always be the first person we would ask for advice.
Claire was a joy to be around and despite our difference of opinion on the office temperature (an argument Claire always won), we worked superbly as a little team – Claire, myself and Vicky Jolley.
Claire lived for her family, her gorgeous garden and the sunshine. The whole team will miss her immensely and all our thoughts are with her family and friends.”
