Liam Goggins, a solicitor in the personal injury team, settled a case for a client who was injured after tripping over a paving flag.
At the time of the incident, the client was walking on the pavement in Derbyshire. The client caught her foot on a raised paving stone, which caused her to fall forward hitting her face on the ground. She suffered injury to her top lip and teeth and cuts and grazes to both knees and jaw.
Following the fall, the client was taken to hospital where her cut lip was glued back together. In the next couple of days, after the swelling of her lips began to subside, it became clear that the client had damaged her four top teeth.
The case was settled against Derbyshire County Council for £5,538.50.
