Over the last two years staff from across the firm have been fundraising for our charity of the year, Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. After a challenging two years for fundraising we are proud to announce that we have raised just over seven and a half thousand pounds through a variety of activities including sponsored walks, virtual bingo and online quizzes.
Guide Dogs, who were chosen as charity of the year by our staff in 2020, rely on donations to continue their life-changing work to help make a difference to adults and children living with sight loss.
Stephensons’ charity of the year initiative sees staff from across the firm taking part in fundraising and volunteering activity for the chosen charity across a full twelve months. However, due to the covid pandemic preventing us from fundraising by our usual methods we decided to extend our fundraising partnership with Guide Dogs by another year in order to raise vital funds for the charity.
Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the various activities and to those who have kindly donated or sponsored members of staff in these events.
We are looking forward to fundraising for our new charity of the year, Wigan and Leigh Hospice in the coming twelve months.
