Artificial intelligence to make life easier for family clients

Artificial intelligence to make life easier for family clients

Stephensons has become one of the first law firms headquartered in the North of England to roll out the artificial intelligence technology, Settify.

Settify is a sophisticated online system that is accessible for clients via the Stephensons website, or by email invitations sent by the Stephensons family law team to new clients prior to their initial meeting. Settify uses artificial intelligence to instantly provide clients with customised, helpful information directly relevant to their family law matter, and collects a full brief of their initial instructions in a safe and secure manner.

The technology is designed to provide family clients with everything they need at the start of their divorce proceedings at a time and place convenient to them. The technology also means that clients ultimately save on costs as Stephensons has all of their information up front without the need to go through everything again during an initial meeting.

Victoria Gethin, Head of Family Law at Stephensons said: “Over 100,000 people get divorced every year in England and Wales and the process can often be complex and time-consuming. Stephensons is constantly looking at ways to improve this experience for our clients.

“Settify presented clear and tangible benefits for our clients and also seamlessly blends with our own internal processes. We’re proud and very excited to roll the technology out and gauge the reaction from our clients.”

Max Paterson, a former Australian family lawyer and co-founder of Settify said: “Many modern clients now expect a helpful, user-friendly way to commence working with their lawyers online. The family law team at Stephensons is already regarded as one of the strongest teams in the North of England, and we are delighted that they have demonstrated a true commitment to innovation by adopting Settify.”
