The national law firm, Stephensons, has celebrated the opening of a new office in Warrington with a £1,000 donation to Warrington YMCA.
The full service law firm, which has offices across the country, invited staff and volunteers from the charity to be ‘guests of honour’ as the new office was officially opened.
The office, located in The Gateway on Sankey Street, will house Stephensons’ housing and crime teams, with local people able to access hundreds of other legal services, from will writing to moving home.
Andrew Leakey, a partner at the firm, said Stephensons had chosen to support the local YMCA after seeing a recent appeal for funds in the Warrington Guardian.
“Warrington YMCA provides an invaluable service in helping homeless and vulnerable people in the local community”, he added.
“We are delighted to be able to support them and hope this donation will go some way to securing their future in the town and making sure their vital work continues.”
Susan Blythe, Warrington YMCA Manager, said: “We would like to thank Stephensons for their kind support and for inviting us to open their new premises. We are reliant on the generosity of local people and businesses in Warrington to maintain and improve our services and donations such as this are a big part of that.”
Those wishing to donate or volunteer for Warrington YMCA should contact the charity by emailing WarringtonYMCA@btconnect.com.
Stephensons’ Warrington office is open between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
