Stephensons’ commercial solicitors will be on hand to provide expert advice to the region’s businesses at Wigan Business Expo 2011.
The event, which is being held at Leigh Sports Village on Friday 14th October from 8am–4pm, will showcase 80 of the borough’s businesses who are exhibiting at the show to encourage local trade. More than 1,000 business people are expected to attend.
Visitors to Stephensons’ stand will be able to find our about the firm’s range of affordable legal packages for small and medium-sized businesses. Stephensons’ commercial team has created fixed-price packages for debt recovery, commercial landlord and tenant services and employment advice to help businesses budget for legal assistance in tough economic conditions.
In addition, Stephensons is able to offer all businesses a free employment law health check. The health check includes a face to face interview in which a businesses list of HR policies and procedures will be reviewed to ensure compliance with the latest regulations. This will include everything from pay and benefits, to contracts, health and safety and recruitment procedures.
Those who leave their business cards on the day for a health check to be carried out at a later date, will be entered into a prize draw to win a Marks and Spencer luxury hamper.
Philip Richardson, an associate solicitor at Stephensons, will also be delivering a seminar on how to avoid costly employment-related legal action. Philip was a speaker at last year’s Expo and his latest advice on how businesses should approach employment law will prove invaluable to small and medium-sized businesses.
