Buying a property

Once you have found a property that you wish to purchase, our specialist conveyancing solicitors will obtain a package of searches against the house you wish to buy, this will provide you with information about the property and its surrounding area.

Our conveyancing solicitors will check the title to the property to ensure that you obtain a good and marketable title so that it can be re-sold in the future.

If you are obtaining a mortgage to fund the transaction our conveyancing specialists will advise you about the terms and conditions of the mortgage offer received. If you are paying for the property without a mortgage you will need to arrange to have those funds available in time for the house purchase to proceed.

Once all of these things are in place our conveyancing team will provide a full report on the property to you and ask you to sign the necessary documents. When those have been signed we can usually proceed to complete the purchase of your property. On the completion day you will be given the keys to your new property.

Until the end of September 2010 Stephensons are delighted to offer first time buyers a 10% discount on residential conveyancing legal fees, for more information call 01942 774488.
