Biography
Having completed his studies at the University of Central Lancashire and The College of Law, Chester, Stephen went on to complete his training with a multi-discipline firm in North Wales, qualifying as a solicitor in July 2002.
Stephen has specialised solely in family law throughout his 21 years of post-qualification experience. He has previously held positions as head of department and also director.
He is a member of Resolution and the Law Society’s Children Panel.
He joined Stephensons in January 2023 from Merrick Solicitors in Manchester.

Stephens interest in the law developed at a very early age writing in his primary school text book that he wanted to be a lawyer when he grew up. He suggests this was probably more to do with the influence of the American TV series LA Law, rather than any understanding of what the job would actually entail. However he has never looked back.
