Liam qualified with Stephensons in September 2002, having completed his training contract with the firm. Liam became an Associate with the firm in May 2006 and was made Partner in May 2008.
Liam’s passion lies within consumer litigation. He is recognised nationally as a market leader and expert in the field of consumer credit. In particular he concentrates in the area of challenging unenforceable credit agreements; unfair relationships; broker negligence and hidden commissions. Liam has experience in co-ordinating multi party actions in this field across England and Wales. He has over 10 years experience in this area and has strong relationships with the money advice sector. Liam regularly performs lectures and seminars on the subject nationally.
Liam is an experienced civil litigator and also specialises in professional negligence in the following areas:
- Professional negligence civil actions against solicitors;
- Professional negligence civil actions against surveyors;
- Professional negligence civil actions against insurance brokers;
- Professional negligence civil actions against veterinary surgeons;
- Professional negligence civil actions against architects.
Liam also regularly acts for clients in high value faulty goods and services claims. Although a keen litigator he regularly represents clients through mediation and adjudication.
In his spare time Liam is an avid follower of Liverpool Football Club and St.Helens Rugby League. He also enjoys playing all racquet sports and spending time with his young family.
