Biography
Cathy is a trainee solicitor in our private family law department with seats in public children law and residential conveyancing.
Cathy joined the firm in September 2021 with experience working as a family law paralegal at high street firms both in the Wigan and Liverpool areas. She studied for her LLM in qualifying law and post graduate diploma in legal practice at Liverpool John Moores University whilst also undertaking pro-bono work at the University’s legal clinic and at the personal support unit at Liverpool Family Court with charity organisation ‘Support Through Court’.
Cathy brings with her a wealth of experience both personally and from her former ten-year police career as a detective in child protection, domestic violence and serious sexual offences having successfully completed the national investigators exam and FDSc in criminal investigation and policing.
Cathy specialises in a range of both private and public law family work including divorce, child arrangements, protection from domestic violence, public law outline pre-proceedings and care proceedings.
