Stephensons to advise first time buyers at free show

First time buyers attending The Key Event in Ellesmere Port this Saturday 12th June will be able to access legal help and advice on their first home purchase from exhibitor, Stephensons Solicitors LLP.

Stephensons’ specialist residential property solicitors will be on hand to advise those would-be buyers attending the free one-day only exhibition at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall from 10am to 3pm.

In addition, the firm will be hosting two free seminars on the day for attendees about the legal aspects of buying their first home.

The Key Event (Ellesmere Port) is organised by HomesHub, the Government’s Home Buy Agent for Merseyside and Cheshire. It offers information and support to those seeking to get on the property ladder, with exhibitors showcasing new homes, shared ownership and shared equity schemes, mortgage and financial advice as well as legal advice.

Stephensons, one of the largest law firms in the North West, has expert experience in helping first time buyers purchase their first home through shared ownership and shared equity schemes and will be able to talk home buyers through the conveyancing process on the day. The firm is also adept at helping first time buyers who purchase repossessed homes or buy through an auction.

Stephensons can also work with developers who offer shared ownership, by providing conveyancing on a volume basis to reduce the cost and time it takes to complete a transaction.

Tom Bridge, Managing Partner of Residential Conveyancing at Stephensons, said: “Buying a home is one of the biggest purchases a person will ever make. We have developed considerable expertise over 30 years in guiding new home buyers through their purchase. We can offer a professional and competitive service to make the process plain-sailing.

“It is vital that purchasers buying a home through a shared equity scheme appoint a specialist solicitor who has expertise in this area as it is a much more complicated transaction. We are happy to advise first time buyers who are getting on the ladder via shared equity or shared ownership.”
