The cost of living crisis and its impact on people living with disabilities

All-inclusive rents are rising on the list of search terms amongst people looking for somewhere to live, according to property portal Rightmove. The phrase “bills included’ is second on the list of searches that have been made, reflecting the pressure of surging prices.

Tenant needs

Consistently, the search term relating to pets have topped the list for rental properties. However, a year on, the search term “bills included” has jumped to second place ahead of the need for ‘extra space’ which was in second place early last year.

The growing ‘build to rent’ sector has been trying to tap into this demand offering flats that include the cost of bills.

A property data expert at Rightmove said “Any landlord able to offer this to a tenant is likely to be met with a long que of applicants."

Students are amongst those who may have access to all-inclusive deals.

Should you go for all-inclusive rents?

A positive of all-inclusive rent is not having to deal with various utility companies however, there are disadvantages to consider such as not being able to shop around for offers on utility bills and not being able to save money by cutting back on usage.
