Coronavirus and employment law - what are my rights?

Though we are now four years on from the height of the covid pandemic, the Insolvency Service has been diligent in bringing justice to those directors who took advantage of government support schemes for their own financial gain. With 831 directors disqualified between 2023-24 alone, and many others receiving criminal convictions, it once again underscores the scale of this issue.

Our commercial and insolvency teams have advised and assisted a number of directors facing enquiry into how they used monies obtained through the schemes and claims for the return of the funds. In many cases, the monies were used for legitimate purposes, and we have been able to assist directors to prove this, resulting in reduced claims and a satisfactory conclusion to the investigations.

If you are a company director and would like to speak to a member of our team to discuss an enquiry of this nature please call us on on 0161 696 6170 or complete our online enquiry form and we will contact you directly.
