At the moment you may be fully in control of your own finances and property. Have you thought about what might happen if, because of illness or incapacity, you were ever unable to manage your own finances. You may want to appoint an Attorney to deal with these for you if you ever were to become incapacitated in the future. An Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) can help you protect your assets. The law on this changes in October 2007. New Lasting Powers of Attorney are being introduced. You can still do an EPA before October though. It won’t be void because of the new changes.
