Stephensons offer a Fixed Fee Divorce package which includes all steps from initial instructions through to the conclusion of the divorce, the total fee for this service is £839.38 including VAT and Disbursements, assuming there are no unforeseen problems this amount is payable in three installments as follows:
- From the outset we will require from you £264.38 and your original marriage certificate.
- When your divorce Petition is ready to be sent to the Court we will ask for a further payment of £300.00 as this is the fee the Court require to issue your Petition.
- Finally when we apply for Decree Nisi we will ask for a final payment of £275.00. This includes the Court fee for applying for the Decree Absolute which is £40.00.
If your spouse fails to co-operate with the divorce then we can also offer an application for Deemed Service at a fixed fee of £50.00 + VAT + Court fee or an application for Bailiff service at a fixed fee of £50.00 + VAT + Court fee of £40.00.
Work which is not covered:
- If the Petition becomes defended or needs to be altered once it has been issued by the Court.
- Cost of obtaining a replacement marriage certificate if you do not have the original.
- Financial issues.
- Advice on children issues.
