Stephensons Solicitors LLP has strengthened its family and relationships team in Manchester with the appointment of legal executive Gillian Lavelle.
Gillian, from Salford, is a specialist in the law relating to unmarried couples and cohabitation disputes. She was previously an executive in the firm’s Consumer law team in Leigh and has six years’ experience.
She is the fourth appointment to the Manchester Family team this year, which is developing a reputation as the leading legal aid and private paying Family Law practice in the City Centre.

Her experience in advising unmarried couples who have separated and are perhaps in dispute over their home or other assets will add a new dimension to our Manchester practice.”
Stephensons Family team comprises more than 30 legal specialists with experience in the whole range of complications surrounding relationship breakdowns including divorce, separation, protection from domestic violence, child access, child residence and international abduction.
The firm is one of a small number in the city centre to offer legal services to people of all income levels, through funding methods such as legal aid and fixed fee services.
