Neal Boland joined Stephensons in 1991 and was a partner in the firm for 27 years.
He is a consultant in the firm’s criminal litigation department, which is widely recognised as one of the leading criminal law teams in the country.
He now specialises in the regulation and professional conduct of solicitors. He is supervised by Andrew Welch.
He acts on behalf of the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) when it closes down solicitors firms (interventions) and has led a team which has been involved in more than 40 interventions one of which was the largest firms to be closed down as a consequence of an intervention. The team have also assisted in the return of many millions of pounds to clients of those firms.
