Biography

Emma studied law at Lancaster University and graduated in 2013. After the completion of her degree, Emma went on to attend Manchester Metropolitan University to commence her studies on the Bar Professional Training Course. Emma was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Inner Temple in 2014.

Emma is part of the discrimination team and is based in the Leigh office. She has a number of years of experience within all areas of employment law and civil litigation, having acted for both claimants and respondents.

Emma manages a varied case load of both civil and employment discrimination claims. She currently specialises in advising and representing claimants on the following:

  • Disability discrimination
  • Pregnancy/maternity, sex, sexual orientation and marriage/civil partnership discrimination
  • Age, race, religion and belief discrimination

Emma not only represents clients at court but advises and assists clients in settlement negotiations both directly and through ACAS.
