Amy is a trainee solicitor within our clinical negligence team.
Amy joined Stephensons in August 2016 as a graduate paralegal in the clinical negligence team, after achieving an upper second-class honours law degree from Newcastle University in 2015, and completing her legal practice course with a distinction at the University of Law, in 2016.
Amy secured a training contract at Stephensons in September 2017. She completed her first seat in the probate department where she assisted in preparing Wills, trusts, deeds of gift, lasting powers of attorney and dealing with estate administration.
For her second seat, Amy joined the family department where she assisted the team in dealing with divorce, finances arising upon separation, disputes between parents in respect of child arrangements and social services involvement with children, including care proceedings.
Amy has now returned to the clinical negligence department for her third seat and works under the supervision of Judith Thomas- Whittingham. Amy works primarily with senior associate solicitor, Jamie Cruickshanks in assisting him with a wide range of clinical negligence cases, including many complex brain injury claims.
