Stephensons appoints two to partnership

The national law firm, Stephensons, has announced the appointment of two new partners.

The firm welcomes clinical negligence expert, Tom Mooney and commercial property specialist, Chris Graves to the partnership.

Chris joined Stephensons as a student before qualifying as a solicitor in 2007. Since then he has worked with the firm’s commercial law department, specialising in high value commercial property acquisitions and commercial sales. He is a noted expert in complex property transactions including development work and supported living and care accommodation. He is based in the firm’s Bolton, Middlebrook office.

Tom joined the firm in 2006 before securing a training contract and qualifying in 2010, dealing exclusively in medical negligence cases. He was recently honoured with the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Accreditation in recognition of his exceptional expertise in this field of work. He is based in Stephensons’ Wigan Investment Centre office.

Chris said: “Having started my career with Stephensons, I am delighted to be appointed to the partnership of the firm.

“I am relishing the opportunity to further shape Stephensons’ growing commercial law department.”

Tom said: “To have progressed from trainee, to qualified solicitor, associate and now partner with Stephensons is an incredible privilege.

“The partnership has an unmatched level of expertise across several specialisms and I am proud to be joining them.”

Stephensons’ Chairwoman, Ann Harrison said: “We are very pleased to be able to welcome Tom and Chris to the partnership.

“We are also proud to say that each have achieved this having joined the firm as trainees, showing considerable dedication to their teams, to Stephensons and our clients.”
