Stephensons, the national law firm, has promoted one of its associates to its partnership. Maria Chadwick, head of the firm’s discrimination department joins the partnership with immediate effect.
Maria joined Stephensons as a graduate paralegal in 2006 and shortly after secured a training contract with the firm, holding seats in the family, consumer, housing and commercial employment departments. In September 2009, Maria qualified as a solicitor into the civil litigation team before moving across to the private family law department. In August 2015 Maria was appointed manager of the civil and employment discrimination team.
A member of the Discrimination Law Association and the Employment Lawyers Association, Maria specialises in a range of areas including claims under the Equality Act 2000, civil and employment litigation and dispute resolution as well as engaging in pre-action correspondence and negotiations.
