'Hats-off' to charitable Stephensons

Stephensons have raised more than £300 for the national brain injury charity, Headway, by wearing all manner of weird and wonderful headgear.

Staff at the national, full service law firm, which has its Head Office in Leigh, took part in ‘Hats for Headway’ as part of Action for Brain Injury Week. Staff donated a total of £303.71 to help provide support for individuals and their families dealing with head traumas and injuries.

The annual Action for Brain Injury Week aims to promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers.

Stephensons Associate, Tom Mooney, who was recently appointed treasurer of the Wigan and Leigh Headway branch, said: “Each year, everyone at Stephensons really gets into the spirit of the day and we’ve seen some truly fantastic hats and headwear on display!

“Brain injuries can present an incredible challenge, not just for the individual, but their family and friends as well. We’re delighted to be able to help in providing a vital lifeline for those suffering potentially life changing trauma in the community.”

Stephensons has been supporting the local Wigan and Leigh branch of Headway for over a year and donated more than 100 voluntary hours to help the charity.
