Leading law firm, Stephensons Solicitors LLP, is offering drop-in family law clinics in Wigan.
The family team, based throughout the North West, are providing free drop-in sessions at the Wigan Citizens’ Advice Bureau in the Wigan Life Centre. The clinic gives people the chance to speak with a family law specialist and receive support on a number of family related issues.
The sessions will be held every Friday.
Lisa Kidson, chief officer at the Wigan and Leigh Citizens’ Advice Bureau, said: “The family drop-In clinic will benefit residents in the local community by enabling them to access legal family and relationship advice in a familiar setting. People will be able to gain a better understanding of their options and any cost implications. The Citizens Advice staff will also be on hand should any other issues need attending to.”
The family law team at Stephensons deals with a wide range of family legal issues including divorce, children disputes, domestic abuse cases and complex finical settlements. They can also assist if social services are involved.
Victoria Melling, a partner specialising in family law at Stephensons, said: “Each of our family law specialists is sensitive to the needs of clients and we will give honest and straight forward advice. The drop-in clinics will give people a place, outside of a solicitor's office, where they can access confidential help and assistance.”
Stephensons family team also offers fixed fee packages on a range of issues and for those eligible, legal aid may still be available to fund a case.
People interested in accessing the drop in clinic are encouraged to register their interest in advance. Please contact Wigan Citizens Advice for further information on 01616 966 229
