May Ball organised by St Helens MIND raises over £2,500

The St Helens MIND May Ball has raised over £2,500 which will go towards supporting those who rely on the mental health charity.

The fundraising event took place on the 3rd May and was held at Larkin’s restaurant in St Helens. It allowed guests to enjoy networking whilst raising money for the local charity.

All guests enjoyed a two-course meal and live music from a local duo. Money raised by the auction and raffle, along with the ticket sales, totalled a fantastic £2,500 for MIND.

The event was attended by over 80 people including the Mayor and Mayoress of St Helens, local hero Andy Reid, directors and trustees of MIND, Stephensons Solicitors LLP and other local charities.

Sponsoring the May Ball was leading North West law firm, Stephensons Solicitors LLP.

Liam Waine, partner in the consumer law team, said: “We are extremely pleased with the amount that everyone helped to raise for MIND. This event was a great opportunity to combine networking with helping a worthy cause.

“I’m sure the money raised will make a real difference to people living with mental health issues in our local community.”

MIND is a national charity that supports people who are experiencing mental health problems. They help people to understand their condition and make sure they recognise the options available to them.
