St Helens food manufacturer, Lea Green Foods Limited has been acquired by Staffordshire-based ingredients manufacturer, Regency Mowbray Company Limited for an undisclosed sum.
The company, founded in 1997, makes food products including pastes, sauces and purees to supply to the food service and manufacturing markets. It will remain trading as Lea Green Foods Limited.
Its new owner, Regency Mowbray, specialises in creating flavourings, colours and chocolate products among others, all to be supplied to the food manufacturer industry.
The principal seller, Jim Tansey will remain with the company.
Kay Waddington, corporate partner at Stephensons Solicitors LLP in Wigan acted for the sellers. James Bullock of the Sheffield office of Irwin Mitchell acted for the purchaser. The deal was backed by Venture Finance.
